Last week we celebrated the life and work of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Today we commemorate the 70th anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz. As we remember the lives of leaders who steered us towards progress and study the horrors in our collective history, we are left with the knowledge that more work needs to be done. The decisions and actions we make when motivated by intolerance can result in mental and emotional trauma that can ripple through generations. In light of recent news from Ferguson, Paris, Nigeria and countless places worldwide that see little to no media coverage, we at @1in20 are devoting the month of February to highlight submissions that tackle the emotional and mental repercussions of intolerance. Tell us your story at mailto:submit@oneintwenty.org Contributors may remain anonymous to their readers.
