Face-in-the-crowd Walkscape.
More of my #Walkscape work can be found on an Instagram account dedicated to these images @conceptual_ben In a nutshell this project is best described with the following statement.
We live in a time of radical documentation: Cameras are within easy reach and CCTVs record our every move. Our landscape and street corners are painstakingly documented. Time and space are mere elements to be observed, recorded and stored away.
My response has been to deconstruct and compress all these elements into a kaleidoscope of overlapping imagery.
The images are made from 30-100 merged pictures taken as I walk down a city block. All are made “in-phone” at the moment of capture. #art #conceptual #newyorkcity” By benlowy on Instagram.

"We’ve selected our image of the week. This pediatric patient presented with symptoms of a fever, upper respiratory tract infection and new erythematous targetoid lesions on the abdomen and all four limbs. The patient had recently completed a course of azithromycin. What condition could this patient have? Find out on Figure 1.

"#MSF doctor Henna Hustafa examines six-year-old Nyathak Yien who is sick with kala azar at an MSF hospital in #Lankien, #SouthSudan. The conflict that erupted in South Sudan little over a year ago has left people more vulnerable to the deadly tropical disease. Last year, #MSF treated over 6,700 cases of kala azar in South Sudan, more than double the number of cases it treated the year before. "#MSF #psychologist Tanya Novosyolova talks with Mila at her home in #Ilovaisk, in the #Donetsk region of #Ukraine. Mila lost her husband and her right leg when shells landed in the neighbour’s house in August 2014. The left side of her jaw was completely destroyed and she’s had skin grafts to try to fix it. But now she needs an implant, as well as a #prosthetic leg, both of which are out of reach for her and her family financially. She and her husband were by each other’s sides until the end. They lay in the ambulance next to each other and said their goodbyes. He died shortly after arriving at the hospital. Ukraine 2015 © Corinne Baker/MSF" By doctorswithoutborders on Instagram.
"Philomène, 47, discovered that she was #HIVpositive 14 years ago while she was #pregnant. Philomène and her husband overcame the initial shock of the diagnosis and thanks to long counselling sessions with #MSF teams they have managed to build a relationship and family life almost like anybody else’s. Since Philomène was put on a on #antiretroviral treatment that prevents the transmission of the virus from mother to child, she and her husband have had two children who are #HIVnegative. Philomène is also a dedicated activist within the community group #RENOAC which helps #Congolese people live positively with #HIV. While working as a RENOAC volunteer, she met Emerence, a young girl who had been abandoned by her family. Emerence now lives with Philomène’s family who considers her like their own child.
