Irina Vasiliena, a mother of two, was living on the frontline of conflict in #Ukraine where there was constant shelling. “We left our house because of the bombings; the roof had been damaged and we had spent the last week living in the basement. The children were afraid to go upstairs, and if they played outside during the day then they didn’t want to come back inside the house at night. When we first arrived here the children were still afraid of loud, unexpected noises but now they feel safe and they are calmer.”#MSF is supporting a number of hospitals in Ukraine, helping to treat others like Irina who have been forcefully displaced from their homes. #IWD #IWD2015 © Joffrey Monnier/MSF, 2015.” By doctorswithoutborders on Instagram.
