“Oh, hello there. @shelburnefarms, a National Historic #Landmark encompassing 1,400 verdant, rolling acres along Lake Champlain, is home to 120 Brown Swiss milking cows and a small group of bulls for beef and breeding stock. It began in the late 1800s as an agrarian estate. Today it’s a working farm as well as a nonprofit educational organization focused on sustainable agriculture. Visitors can milk cows, chase chickens and watch cheesemakers craft award-winning cheddars from the milk of the farm’s Brown Swiss cows. @scramp visited the farm, and said hello to these ladies, for @nytimestravel. Follow @shelburnefarms to see a photo of @scramp in action.” By nytimes on Instagram.
