Grisha lost his job as a teacher because of his activism and sexuality. He now works as a #dragqueen. @hammond_robin photographed him in St. Petersburg in November 2014. Using a large camera and Polaroid-type film, @hammond_robin gave his subjects the right to destroy a photo if they thought it threatened their safety. "Letting them have the power over the process not only made them feel more secure, but it also changed our relationship," he wrote on the #lensblog.
