"Hana, 12, walked up and down rows of cucumbers, stopping for each picker to dump their vegetables into her crate. When the crate was full — it sometimes weighed 20 pounds or more — Hana carried it on her bony shoulder to the edge of the field, where the cucumbers are sorted by size. Hana lives in a refugee settlement in Lebanon's Bekaa Valley. She works in the fields, rising at 4 a.m. most days. She last saw her home in Syria three years ago. For this weekend's #NYTMag, @lynseyaddario photographed Hana and two other children who have been #displaced by war or persecution.
