"It's time for another #dancebreak.
The South African photographer @mrmofosaunders took this portrait of the Dlala Mapantsula dance crew in Johannesburg's Mohlakeng Township. In the city's townships, pantsula dancers use hectic streets as their stage. @mrmofosaunders has spent 6 years documenting the #dancers, for whom #pantsula is a way of life. "I didn't want to focus on the negativity that surrounds the reality of a lot of people's lives in the scene," he told the #lensblog. "I wanted to focus on the dance, the beauty of the culture and what they're trying to portray to the world."" By nytimes on Instagram.
