""I walk without fear of war." — Marziyeh Mohebbi, a lawyer and mother of 4 who lives in Iran
As soon as Iran signed the nuclear deal last summer with the U.S. and 5 other countries, Iranians burst into conversation about what difference, if any, the accord would make to their day-to-day lives. The Iran-based photographer Ako Salemi (@f64s125) set out to capture a range of people in Tehran and Mashhad in their professional or private spaces. Shooting with his iPhone to make his subjects feel more comfortable, @f64s125 separated himself from his subjects using a piece of glass. "My intention was to represent the effects of the environment on a person's life," the photographer writes in this weekend's Sunday Review. We'll share more portraits by @f64s125 later today. #nytweekender" By nytimes on Instagram.
