"In 2011 LCD Soundsystem called it quits with a momentous run of sold-out shows, including a 3-hour-plus spectacle at @madisonsquaregarden and a documentary. Last night, 5 years after they broke up, #LCDSoundsystem played their first reunion show at @websterhall to an at-capacity audience throbbing under an oversized disco ball. Even for the encore, there was no pretense of coyness. "Whether you clap or not, we're going to come back," James Murphy, the band's frontman, teased. They did — and they'll be back tonight, too. Tickets for these surprise shows were awarded via lottery, connections and luck. But don't worry, it's not too late to catch them on the summer music festival circuit." By nytimes on Instagram.
