""Alas, poor Yorick! I knew him…" Yesterday was the 400th anniversary of the death of William Shakespeare, and today is our annual (sold out) #murderatthemutter.

This image by @davidorrart is of one of our Hyrtl Skulls, that of Gennaro Trompetta, a 13 year old male fisherman from Naples. We know a great deal about many of our specimens, including our Hyrtl Skulls, and it is out of deep respect for that we use their names when we refer to them (see yesterday's post). In July, we will be launching a very exciting new exhibit from @davidorrart, who has photographed all of the Hyrtl skulls and made them perfectly symmetrical, just like this image of Gennaro. What does this image make you think of relating to biology and beauty?
