"Marine furnished a burned-out car, where she planned to live with her 2-year-old daughter. "My life is important because I have a child who has a future," she told the photographer Anahit Hayrapetyan. In 2010, Anahit — a member of @4.plus, a collective of Armenian women photographers — started photographing and recording the testimonies of women who were victims of domestic violence. The issue, she said, is commonplace in Armenia. But until recently, it has rarely been discussed in public.
