Ariel Sharon Now Treated with Hemofiltration (A Form of Dialysis)

Apparently Ariel Sharon has developed bacteria in the blood, septic shock, and kidney failure, and is now being treated with continuous venovenous hemofiltration (CVVH), a form of kidney replacement therapy.

Via CNN:
"Due to excessive edema, the doctors have decided to start hemofiltration treatment in order to remove the excessive fluids from his body. The treatment will take place over the next few days in the ICU," the statement said.
