With IFTTT’s new support for Belkin’s WeMo...



With IFTTT’s new support for Belkin’s WeMo accessories, however, automations can be triggered by and send commands to home appliances. Users can now program IFTTT to send text message notifications when certain devices are turned on or use the service to remotely turn household items off. The new “Quick Triggers” feature is similar to regular recipes, but but require less processing time. They can be activated via SMS, email, a phone call, or a Google Talk chat keyword in addition to input from Belkin’s WeMo accessories.
