Do Dogs Think?

Slate has an excerpt from Katz on Dogs, a new book on dog training. The essay argues that bad things happen to dogs because people mistakenly believe that dogs think like humans. Culture Clash, an excellent, dog-friendly book on dog training, puts it this way: Dogs are selfish, amoral, and they have brains the size of lemons (but we love them).
